Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU) is a non-profit, private, graduate school for the health professions and home to over 3,700 students and nearly 20,000 alumni. Founded in 1977, WesternU has 8 colleges that offer 23 degrees, including master’s or doctoral degrees in Podiatric Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Graduate Nursing, Optometry, Dental Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The university has two campuses, with all eight colleges based in Pomona, California and two colleges also residing on the Lebanon, Oregon campus. The College of Podiatric Medicine (CPM) opened in 2010 and graduated its first class in 2013. Since then, CPM has enjoyed overwhelming success placing all our graduates in residency programs since the Class of 2014. As CPM expands our academic programming, we are now able to provide educational opportunities to colleagues worldwide in hopes of meeting our vision to be the global leader of innovative and integrated podiatric medical education so that we positively impact global health by improving the quality of life of others.
